Printing problem -2
Problem :
Within autocad drawing many times images are inserted which are for presentation purpose. Sometimes scanned images from previously drawn drgs are also inserted to show the main area details alongwith the building layout drawing. These images do not get printed directly.
Possible cause :
Autocad does not store the entire image when the drawing with images is saved. It only stores the path on your computer system which gives location of the image file.
However when the drawing is taken to any other computer, instead of images, only a blank rectangle with a path for the image is displayed. Since the images are available only in the original place ( your computer at home ) , autocad does not find the images on the other computer and hence they are not displayed or for that matter they will not get printed.
Remarks / Solution :
For presenting a drawing containing raster images , carry all the image files alongwith the autocad drawing file. Then on the target computer create a new folder, copy the drawing file as well as all the image files in the same folder. Then you can open the autocad file as usual. Since all the raster images are in the same folder autocad will not search for image files , but will find them in same folder and hence will open the drawing alongwith all the images.
