the major problem is when u r printing the drg on a paper bigger than A3 ( paper size is another important thing which we will discuss in next log ), we r not sure whether the drg will fit on A2, A1, or A0- size of paper at the desired scale. this is mainly due to the fact that every cad user is not using plotter, which is obviously very costly and getting the drg printed from a plotting service shop is the best and economic solution. it is very disturbing to know that drg is not fitting at desired scale, at the time of plotting.
in order to check follow simple steps below :
- open the drg.
- start printing by ctrl + P command
- choose DWF ePlot.pc3 as the printer.
- in the next box choose the desired paper size
- in what to plot section , click window,
- in the resulting cad drg area, click the two diagonal corners of the drg.
- back in plot dialog, check the option "fit to paper".
- this will indicate the scale arrived by autocad in the box below.
- if the indicated scale fig is less than the desired scale, then u r thro' with check. ( desired scale is 1:100 and fit to paper indicates a scale of less than 1:100, say 1:98 ) and be sure that the drg will fit properly.
in our next dialog , we will see the standard paper sizes, in mm or inches, their availabilty and using them properly.
